As a group of international artists since the year 2005 we create Geopuncture Circles in different parts of the Earth to initiate and sustain a permanent flow of dialogue between the human race and the consciousness of our home planet – between the human culture and Gaia, the Earth soul.
During the last decades it became obvious that our planet Earth is changing. Escalation of natural and cultural catastrophic events is not to oversee.
The changes are so profound that even extremely courageous corrections of our modern way of life can not deliver a complete solution to the unhealthy situation.
We believe that for sustainable solutions to the planetary crisis the immediate communication with Gaia and all levels of her beings be it visible or invisible is inevitable. Geopuncture Circles are dedicated to this kind of dialogue with the living Earth and the Universe.
Geopuncture Circles represent a composition of stones with carved signs called cosmograms, positioned at certain places upon the planetary body of Gaia.
Geopuncture Circles are always a group creation. Many different co-creators participated in their carving and erection during the last 14 years. They have all studied with Marko, Marika and Ana Pogačnik from Slovenia to be introduced to the basics of the holistic approach to the Earth organism, methods of widened perception, language of signs called cosmograms and the skill of stone carving.
For each of the Geopuncture Circles a different theme has been chosen that refers to the relationship between the Earth consciousness, the elemental worlds of nature and human culture at the given place.
Creating Geopuncture Circles always follows a certain process:
In the first phase participants start to design cosmograms related to the chosen theme and its aspects.
In the next phase participants meet in the form of a workshop at the place where the future Geopuncture Circle should stand. There they carve the previously prepared signs (cosmograms) into the chosen stones. Carving is always done by handwork.
Finally the stones will be positioned on their proper places in such a way that they are tuned to the energies of the place.
Local kind of stones is being used where it is possible. To honour the principle of recycling, stones are chosen among those abandoned in quarries as useless for commercial use.
The knowledge, how to create Geopuncture Circles is partly derived from the study of the megalithic stone circles. We realised that ancients were using stone to store information and to communicate with the Earth and Cosmos by the help of crystals that compose the stone body.
Since we live in an age when conscious communication with the Earth and its beings is needed so Geopuncture Circles bring something new to the ancient knowledge. Meant are signs carved upon the stones that we call “cosmograms”.
Language of cosmograms is an attempt to develop such a language that can be perceived not just by humans but also by other beings that do not have eyes to see and ears to hear.
Language of cosmograms is not only a pictorial language but also an energy emanating language. Cosmograms are carved upon stones in a special way. They are carved exclusively in concave forms that are capable of catching sunlight and thus creating a light image that emerges through the interplay of light and shadow. Such a light image can be perceived not only by humans but also by elemental and other beings of Gaia.
